– Justin –: How long until the world views modern religions in the same light as ancient roman/greek religions?
Romans back in the day believed just as strongly in their religion as any christian/jew/muslim believes in theirs today, and yet we view their religion as mythical nonsense.
Could same thing happen to our modern religions? Is it already happening?
As a kind of aside, how do you think the ancient romans/greeks would feel if they could have somehow seen our time and what has become of their sacred rituals and religion?

yes, it’s happening. Science and the global society are weakening the hold of the local witchdoctor (priest/imam/rabbi) and people are beginning to see the truth, that an omnipotent god who loves us, logically, would not send anyone to hell. To say he does send people to hell shows the witchdoctor is just trying to control everyone and so people leave and become atheists or maybe buddhists or something less clearly manipulative.Answer by Lha Bho

This is foolish, it is not true historically. Not even close. In the days of the Greeks for example, Aristotle, Socrates, and esp Plato took the modern view of religion.
If anything the modern view is going BACKWARDS. You have that wrong too.
