Whit Rooks: How long should I wait to pet my cat around the neck after using Revolution?
My Mom gave one of our cats a dose of cat revolution, and it says that it’s safe to give my cat a bath after two hours. Does this mean Its completely dry after the 2 hours, and I can pet her without having to wash my hands after? Or should I wait until after the usual 48 hours for other medicines is up? She loves being pet right around the area that the medicine was put on, which is why I ask.

I would wait until I couldn’t see or feel any or the flee drops before I touch her around the neck. I’m not exactly sure about the timing. I used it before on my cat but never paid attention to that. Why don’t you just wait until mourning and call the number on the back of the box or the vet.
Ask a vet when you can safely pet your cat.Answer by Katchin’ A Few Zzzs
Spot on flea treatments like Revolution are sort of oily so they can be dispersed all over the body. You should wash your hands after petting her for at least 48 hrs to be safe. Flea meds are nasty and can be irritating to people. You want the meds have a chance to spread out so I recommend leaving the area alone since it is most concentrated there. She should be able to take her other medications as directed.Answer by Kylie Anne
usually by the next day I can’t see it anymore and that’s when I do it. I’m still alive 🙂
