mommy911: How long have you been married? Are you still “in love” with your spouse? Or do you just love them?
I have always heard that once you get married, the “honeymoon phase” wears off after so long. I am curious how many people stay together when they are no longer madly in love but still love one another.

Going on 13 years and yes the honeymoon is over, but I still am in love with him and I still love him even now when I’m pissed at him.
Married 23 years. I “fell out” of love after 17 tears when I caught him on Internet dating sites. I stayed to raise the kids. I still care for him as a human being, but no longer “in love”. He managed to kill that nicely all by himself.Answer by ♥tweety♥
I met my husband when I was 16 .He was 19 .We got engaged when I was 18 and married when I was 20.Had 1st child at 21 we have 3 total. Today is my husbands 50th birthday ,and I’m now 46 and we been married for 26 years and counting..And I feel that marriage is what you make it. It’s not always going to be peaches and cream you will have your ups and downs. Yes I’m still in love with my husband and probably always will be .And in a marriage you have to try different things to keep it exciting and keep each other interested. And Communicate with each other is the # 1 thing I would say keeps our marriage going ..Answer by lovepreschool
We have been married 25 years as of next week, and the honeymoon phase has made a comeback with a vengeance! Our kids are 26, 24, and 22 and we have one grandchild.
We are close to retirement (2-1/2 years for him, whenever I get ready for me) and I’m looking forward to it. We have a home in the country that we will be moving to and will keep busy with crops, horses, riding dune buggies, and partying between farms. Someone (including us) is always having a pig picking, pool party or getting together to go mudding.
Have we always enjoyed each other’s company this much? Heck no. Did we ever fall out of love? No. we never fell out of love, but we did slow down. Now, the pace has picked up and we are both enjoying being together as much as possible. We also enjoy going to Dover to gamble.
You have to find things you are both interested in. We got into mudding and dune buggies and are having a blast!!!

Been married 13 years, together 18. I’m still head over heals ‘in love’, but sometimes those intense feelings wax and wane. But they never disappear. I still find him breathtaking to look at. He has a wonderful soul and a face that can break my heart. He comes home from work in half hour, I can’t wait to kiss him, lol. 🙂
