How long after eating food someone is allergic to can you begin kissing them again?

Eric B: How long after eating food someone is allergic to can you begin kissing them again?
If you’re in a relationship with someone and they’re allergic to thinks like nuts or seafood how long after eating it should you wait before kissing them? And is there anything you can do to make it more safe or hurry along the process?

If nothing else I suppose I could just avoid the foods altogether!

I’m not really sure and I’m no doctor, but I do have food allergies.
Try avoiding eating the foods at least when you’re spending time with them. If you did just eat something they’re allergic to, gargle with mouthwash and brush your teeth really well right afterward, floss, all that. Wash your hands, too.
That’s nice of you to be concerned! It’s rare, but there have been cases where the allergic was affected after kissing someone who ate something they’re allergic to.
