Donald B: how is it that some money mules never get caught? a money mule is someone who reships?
goods from an “employer” for anyone who doesnt know what they do…… money mules in first world countries eventually get caught but what about the ones that are living in third world countries? why is it that these types of scams are fully decomissioned once and for all globally? can a money mule not receive money if his/her “employer” gets caught like in nigeria? can someone please tell me if these people can keep doing this forever or just for a while? i.e. money laundering……..

Money mules come under employment scams in the above forum. Yes, most of them in western countries do get caught, they are invariably people thinking that are employed as “work from home” type employment, either sending cheques, cashing payments, or reshipping goods.
There are very few outside the western countries, and while there may be some in places like Africa, I have not seen any evidence to support that yet.
Any 3rd party payments sent to Africa, are usually to the scammer, using one of several aliases, and are very rarely caught, even if there is evidence due to the fake addresses, names and anonymity of th einternet.
For all the scams to stop would require more resources than anyone is at present prepared to allocate, plus the basic fact that in most of the African countries where some scammers operate, it is the only form of income. This leads to the system being corrupt from top to bottom as the amounts of money involved are sufficient to keep a lot of countries in funds.
