Misko K: How I can get rid of the persistent “Found new hardware” message?
I’m running the Windows XP Professional on my computer and since I have installed the latest driver for my old Wacom tablet, still connected via the serial port, I’m getting this message every time I start the computer. The driver is original, downloaded from the Wacom website. Reinstalling the driver just doesn’t help.
The driver and the tablet work perfectly, it is just annoying during the every startup to click away the warnings and the wizard which starts automatically.

just let the win finish scan the new hardware then you’ll have
an option to not to show it again
Type msconfig in the Run command
Go to the start up tab
There if u r able to identify the Process which is generting this message (it will be like by the name of the wacom or similar) then uncheck the mark in fron tof it. There may be two such identities one for the connecting driver and one for the messaging , so be careful while unchecking the msging process from the start up tab.
