dolempap: How to connect my desktop to my laptop to see the desktop’s contents?
I have a desktop and a laptop. How can I connect my desktop to the laptop so that laptop’s screen depicts the contents of the desktop? By the way, i don’t want to do it through the internet – it is just that the monitor that I was using for my desktop got broken and now I want to use my laptop as a monitor (screen) for my desktop.

You can’t use the laptop as a monitor for the desktop. However, if you can borrow a monitor for a little while you can install LogMeIn on the desktop and then access it from the laptop. Note that this does go over the internet, but it’s the only easy way to do what you need to do.
