How does you first gynecologist exam work?

: How does you first gynecologist exam work?
I’m 15, and my first exam is in a few weeks. I’m so scared, I could die. How does it work? How does it feel? Is it scary?
I just don’t know what to think. I’m absolutely terrified.
Please offer any advice you can give.

oh jeez just relax. I had my first gyno apt this year. I had a paps and the lady was very nice and gentle and explained everything she was doing. i also discussed birth control options. it’s not a big

its not bad at all. you’ll get weighed. they’ll give you a robe to put on while they leave the room. the doctor will come in. your actual exam will be fairly short. its not painful but it will feel a little different since its the first time.

It’s always awkward, especially your first time. I’m 23 and it still makes me uncomfortable.
But these doctors are very good at putting you at ease. They do this all day long, it’s their job.
When I go, they usually insert a metal tube into your vagina. It’s called a spec. It’s cold and uncomfortable but it doesn’t hurt. They might take a few swabs, and that’s it!
Just lie back relax and it will be over before you know it.

I remember mine! it was a couple years ago!
i was freaking out just like you ha ha, but its not bad at all. he/she just talks to you for a bit, answer all the questions TRUTHFULLY and then he’ll/she’ll put some gloves on and work it. just sit there and relax. it feels weird at first, but then you get used to it. the contraption you sit on is kinda weird. just hope you get a guy! 😉
