I have 2 lobes piercings on each side, and 2 cartilage piercings on my right ear. I also got my nose pierced about 5 months ago. I really want to get my tragus pierced and was wondering about the pain in comparison to my other piercings. Just tell me about your piercing expieriences and any other information you think i should know pertaining to this piercing(: thanks in advance(:

I got my tragus pierced on saturday and it doesn’t hurt AT ALL, only when I clean it. I got the hoop instead of the stud. I had my cartilage pierced and that was so painful, I couldn’t handle it and had to take it out. You just can’t sleep on it for a couple of days and wear headphones. I have had about 6 piercings in the past and the tragus is nothing compared to them.

It depends what your pain tolerance is.
I’ve heard helix is more painful than the tragus.
Tragus hurt me more than my nose though.
Don’t move it about and don’t sleep on it, it takes a long time to heal.
It’s best not to use ear phones as soon as you get it (e.g. not clean as such & swelling)
It’s a common piercing to get hypertrophic scarring too (it’s not permanent)
