barb: How does gay marriage affect tradition or religion?
I am just wondering once again on the opinion of people for this issue/debate. I have to debate on it in class tomorrow. In my case I am against gay marriage for the debate, but I am for Civil Unions. I don’t think the ppl that are gay should get the title, because they already have C.U.’s. Also, this can affect the tradition of people that don’t want it, ect…
How would you solve this issue, according to my case?
-if you can please use statistics and information you know to
be against the issue/debate.

Marriage is traditionally defined as between a man and a woman, and we’re talking something that has been a part of human culture pretty much since we could walk. Changing that idea isn’t happening overnight.
Regarding religion, it’s a problem because many view it as a sin. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t, I have no idea.
For my part, I have no problem with it because it doesn’t affect me in any way, and I don’t see how anyone else will be hurt by it.
Answer by Raymarriage should be a union of 2 people of different gender to procreate naturally. Sorry, but 2 women or 2 men can’t do it.
If this is allowed, we will cease to exist if intercourse is “phased out” for homosexual couplings. Even in the Plumbing world, 2 males won’t fit!Answer by just me, ok?
I don’t think anything gays do affects anything except in their own minds.

Well I’m not going to do your homework for you, but I will say this.
How would you feel if the State of California passed a law saying that it now recognized ALL High School Diplomas… I mean even ones written on the back of a brown paper bag in purple crayon that said HIGH SKOOL DIPLAMA that was signed by some guy’s Mom?
What if they started saying ANYONE with ANY badge was a law enforcement officer… little Dennis Mitchel with his $ 1.98 plastic SHERRIF badge is now supposed to be on the same level as a 12 year veteran of the Highway Patrol.
Simply saying something is true doesn’t make it so. Simply saying that someone has completed High School doesn’t mean they have a High School Education, just as saying someone is a trained cop, doesn’t make him one.
Saying that two men who live together are married doesn’t make it a marriage.
And the State ought not to be in the buisness of lying.
