Clean2o: How does an eBay seller get insurance for their product?
I need full insurance coverage for the products I am selling. I need product, damage control, and postal insurance. Is there an all in one deal anywhere? I know buyers can obtain insurance on some products through ebay, but can sellers get insurance too while it’s shipped to the buyer. Can Paypal or eBay cover it?

You get shipping insurance by paying extra if shipped via USPS. UPS insures all up to $ 100. Buyer pays shipping so they have the option to pay for insurance. The products cannot have a warranty other than the manufacturers warranty or you give a personal warranty that comes out of your pocket. Damage Control????

You need to go to a local agent, and buy insurance. Depending on what it is, it could be quite expensive.
Sellers get shipping insurance, through the shippers – UPS, USPS, etc. Or, you can get it privately through an insurer, along with product liability.
Answer by kittykunefor insurance while it’s being shipped to the buyer –
join Auctiva.com for package insurance that is less than usps for better coverage and you can insure everything you ship with any regular commercial carrier like usps, ups, even when shipping overseas
Auctiva have 30 day free trials and fees as low as 2.95 month and they have free services too
it’s the listing templates that cost about 9.99/month
also try https://www.buyshield.com/ for product insurance
Answer by GabrielYou can buy insurance when you print your packages online up to $ 500 for USPS packages and $ 1000 for UPS through Paypal shipping, USPS.com and UPS.com
You can walk in packages more than that to the UPS store or the post office
Personally, I think shipping insurance is a rip-off. I believe in self-insurance. If 1 or 2 packages a year get lost, I just take the loss and cover it with what I saved from the hundreds of packages that got to their destination without any insurance.
