rocklee500: How do you update video driver on your computer?
I am going to buy the game “Battlefield 2142”, but i found one of the compatible video drivers in the system requiremtn was NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or more. Unfortunately, my computer has NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, and I am not sure if my computer has a NVIDIA card or not. Because of this, i went to the NVIDIA website to update my video driver, but somehow, it does not work. It said something like “it cannot find any drivers that are compatible to your hardware”. Can anyone tell me what kind of problem is this and how to solve it?

The NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 is a Card.
If you want to play this game then your going to have buy the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 card (or better).
Going to the NVIDIA website only updates the Software Driver for the Hardware Video Card…So trying to download 5700 drivers for your 5200 is not going to work…. 🙁
I know, not what you want to know….
Answer by Ted BAll Nvidia GeForce use the same unified driver. The problem with your pc is that your video card is not powerful enough to run the game. The 5200 is a lower end video card than the 5700. Updating the driver won’t help, you need to upgrade your video card. It’s hard to find a GeForce 5 series nowaday but you maybe able to find the GeForce 6 and that will allow you to run the game. The newest Nvidia card is the GeForce 8 series. Your video card is 3 generations behind and that’s why most games won’t run with it.Answer by shahin
