Rhema’s Child: What new computer is still compatible with dial up internet?
My computer is about 10 years old and I need a new one. I have been told that all new computers are not set up for dial up internet and that I would have to purchase a modem separately. I live in a region where dial up is all that I am able to get. Can anyone tell me of a computer out there that I can buy that is still compatible with dial up?

New computers not even laptops comes with a dial up modem.
You will have to purchase an external USB Dial Up Modem. They don’t cost that much.

Look for a listing on the computer specifications that say 56k V.92 Modem. If it only says Ethernet, or 10/100 or Network Card, then you will need a separate modem. I believe they make external USB dial up modems that are easy to install.
EDIT: See the link for an easy connect USB dial up modem.
