Have a great afternoon!
edit: Oh my gosh. Im sorry. I am SUCH an airhead. You meant pony beads as in a type of beads, didn’t you? I was thinking of a ponytail. OH. Im sorry. But again, I dont think you can make the holes smaller. Try looking at Michael’s.
Answer by elfin420not that i am aware of, but you should be able to find smaller beads to take care of your needs, try a specialty bead store, there’s lots of them popping upAnswer by miss_ashleigh4u
Try putting a bit of clay in the middle and put a small hole in the clay. Let the clay harden and your beads will be set and useableAnswer by thejanith
I have accidentally come upon the answer to your question. Get some smaller beads that will fit into the hole of a pony bead. Believe me, they do make them. Measure the hole. I think a 4mm round will fit. Get some and glue them into the pony beads. Voila! Smaller holes! Be sure you line the holes up well before the glue sets.
I came upon this accidentally when my smaller beads got stuck inside the pony beads in my bead box.
Answer by Diane B.I would go with the clay too, but since you don’t want to cure these in an oven, you’d want to use an air-dry clay of some kind. You can make your own “bread clay” (better) or “salt dough” clay, or you can buy Creative Paperclay, Makins clay or Hearty clay, all of which will be pretty smooth. Air-dry clays can shrink as they dry though so be aware of that (the bread clay already has glue in it so maybe it would be more adhesive, than some of the others, or you could mix in or rub on some permanent white glue).
Another option is to glue a small bead(s) into the hole of a larger-hole bead. Check to see which would just fit in with glue, or which could be kind of shoved in and fit tightly.
You can also glue in rolled tubes of paper (made around small rods, etc.), or similar things.
HTH,
Diane B.
Answer by nienteUse a hot glue gun. when the glue dries…it becomes invisible.
While it is still soft… insert a needle or pin to make the hole….move it around so it does not stick.
Good Luck
