How do you get rid of a former co-worker who is deliberately stalking you across statelines ?

lostsoul: How do you get rid of a former co-worker who is deliberately stalking you across statelines ?
Is this even normal behavior?
I am facing a severe problem of a former co-worker, boss who is stalking me everywhere I go, infiltrating every work place or residence I move to, snooping into my private life, friends, email, phone, etc and poisoning folks around me? I have even moved to a different city but it never stops. I am not paranoid or delusional, this is real and it is a very serious and debilitating problem since I am single, ordinary person, 49 year old female and this is powerful, wealthy infuential man. I regret the day I came into contact with this individual.
Anyone had a similar situation and found help or a solution?

Get a restraining order, if the individual crosses state lines, it becomes federal, and a violation will have him incarcerated for sure. Don’t let it go, get the restraining order as soon as you can to protect yourself, any lapse in time will make it look like you don’t really want this person to leave you alone.

everytime he does this to you ,report him to the police, and they will have it on file

I’ve been in your shoes.

Call the police dept. file a restraining order, this prohibits her/them form entering your “space”.
(i.e. home,work,class ETC…)
Keep tapes of the messages, left on your voice mail. It is illegal to tape someone w/o thier consent or knowledge.
Contact –
National Domestic Violence Hotline: (800) 799-SAFE, or (800) 799-7233

By contacting D.V. thier priority is to help you remain safe and they have several resources and connections to help direct you into a safe path for you and yours.

* Please do not invoke any contact with this person, this will hinder your case. No-one has that much money whereas his actions are condoned with the authorities or Advocates of supporters who help cases like yours…it is about safety, not money.

~ Local court. Your district court can help you obtain a court order, which legally mandates the abuser stay away from you or face arrest. These are typically called orders for protection or restraining orders. Advocates are available in many communities to help you complete the paperwork and guide you through the court process.
~ Books and online resources. Learning more about how to cope with your situation and communicating with others who understand what you’re going through can help you make strong choices.
