How do you deal with a persistent spammer?

Mary: How do you deal with a persistent spammer?
My group has a spammer that joins our group sometimes three times a day. We ban him but he pops back up with a new email address. We need help.

When he registers his email address look for his IP address it should look something like this 12.21.123.123 then providing you have the option to block ip adrresses in your group you can ban him. And when he tries to register with another email address, he will be stopped in his tracks since his ip address is blocked. He can have all the email addresses he wants but he only has one IP address. And if he decides to try to register from a friends computer just block that IP address as well.
