zztopspin: How do you become a professional tennis equipment tester?
I see all the time on Tennis Warehouse stuff about “our TW testers”. How do you become one of those? Or all those testers teachers or pros somewhere?

I believe the play testers of TW are both a collection of store employees and experienced volunteer players willing to write up reviews. Remember these reviews are attempts to help other players decide on purchases made from a remote retailer.TW is located in CA, USA. Typically, serious players always play test rackets and almost every tennis shop has demos of current inventory.
Ironically, most successful professional players are very loath to change their rackets and often have quantities of them stored away because the manufacturers do change models so frequently to increase sales. Your best bet to “play-test” is to become a teaching professional (most teaching pros have yearly contracts with a manufacturer that gives them free rackets. In exchange for the equipment, the pro will often recommend that brand and be seen using only that brand. Or you could contact TW and just ask them to become a tester as I have provided the link to an area that others have used to contact them regarding testing. Good luck.
