My son is just about the age where Santa is becoming less and less believable. His friends have told him Santa isn’t real. How would you go about explaining this to him?

Ask him how he feels about it and play off of that. If he says he thinks he isn’t real say “Ok then I can tell you the truth you are smart enough to handle it.” If he still thinks he is real and you want to assure him that he is and go another year until he is ready to hear the truth.
ask him, what he has heard and what he thinks. does he thinks elves make toys, that a fat guy can slide down chimmneys, make it to every house in one night, can reindeer flyAnswer by Carl Gee
The truth works wonders. Perhaps, we give to each other because we love and care about one another as Jesus tried to show us to do. We make up fairy tales for little kids so that they can have fun and excitement, but now that you are getting to be such a big boy, we feel it is time you know the Truth about what Christmas is and why we celebrate it.
You take it from there.
Answer by I Love IsisI would explain that there was a Santa many years ago and it has become tradition to carry on his tradition of giving kids presents at the holidays. My oldest knows and she delights in helping me (Santa) in getting things ready for her younger siblings. She sure as hell doesn’t need therapy!Answer by jamesduck
Look for reindeer shit, look for hoof marks, and look for presents. Looking for evidence is the key. It is a bit like Religion really. Jesus is the gift, the Holy Ghost leaves his mark on believers in Jesus like the hooves in the snow with reindeer, and to quote the Philosopher Kant ‘the starry skies above and the Moral Law within’ point to a creator.Answer by bplem
