magiclady420: How do the marijuana laws compare between Oregon and Washington State? Which area is the most tolerant?
I am wondering about the marijuana laws for Oregon and Washington. I have heard a lot about Oregon being very tolerant of marijuana, and having their medical card program. I don’t know much about Washington State’s laws, and would like to know how it compares with Oregon. And of course if you want to weigh in on quality between the two states that is fine too 🙂

Both states allow for medical marijuana. I don’t know about the rest of the state, but I know that Seattle is fairly tolerant overall. We have the Hempfest every year, I’ve seen demonstrations for legalization with real pot plants where no one was arrested, and I see people smoking pot at several local parks all the time.
Since I’m not a user myself, I can’t attest to quality.
Answer by sk8ergangsta2003ok, if you want to find out everything, check this out, https://norml.org/laws it shows every states marijuana laws and also you should check out some of the states that dont have any pics on them and see how crazy their laws are. I couldnt believe it.
And most tolerant for what? possesion, sale, cultivation…. for possesion under 1 oz , oregon has a fine of $ 500-$ 1000 and no jail time, but Washinton has less then 40g, atleast 1 day – 90 days jail time, and a $ 250-$ 500 fine….
Answer by Ricky!I’m not sure about the rest of Washington (I know it’s fairly lenient) but in Seattle, marijuana possession is officially the lowest priority for law enforcement. Hooray!
