newyorksfineststud: How do I get kittens to accept another kitten?
A few months ago I found 2 kittens in my grandmothers backyard & ever since I’ve been feeding ’em & they’ve pretty much made the back yard their home. The other day I found another kitten back there & for some reason they dont like him. Every time the kitten runs up to play with ’em they’ll hiss, how can I get the 2 kittens to accept the new kitten? or should I just leave things the way they are? & What are some possible reasons as to why the kittens don’t like the new kitten?

Leave ’em be, and let nature take its course.
We had a kitten and got another one. It took some time but now they are like brothers. I would say the closer they are with each other each day, the easier it will get. But I don’t think a backyard is the place to try. Can you not take them all indoors?Answer by Berry Picker
if their all kittens, let them work it out. try feeding them in different bowls and every day put the bowls closer together. they’ll be pals in no time.Answer by Tony L
It is typicol for them to hiss and bat at each other but within usually a week or two they learn to co-exist and eventually become “friends”Answer by Aghi
Well if they are still little (between 4 or 6 months), you can put on the new one a little bit of condensed milk (which is like really sweet) so when the others smell it they would want to lick him, after that they’ll accept him since he’ll have their odor.
Another way is just having some patience, cats are really posesive about their territory, but don’t worry… after a couple of weeks they’ll be fine.
Answer by old cat ladyKittens and cats are very territorial and the first two kittens have made your backyard their home. So they do not want to share their space or their food with this intruder.
Are you afflicted with “kitten static”?
Answer by ladypunk606new kitten=n
#1 kitten=a
#2 kitten=b
N should first be with #1 the whole day
and then #2 the whole day
beacuase the kiiten is lonley and its an idea that when there two there gonna feel stronger
Answer by karen bThis is a natural reaction for the kittens to be having. It is unlikely that they are from the same litter or they would’ve accepted each other. Give them some time, as young as they are it won’t take long for them to become good friends.
