We have three quakers in our “flock”. They pick up words very quickly!! The more time you spend with them, the more they learn. They are usually very vocal little birds, with a strong need to communicate with their flock members. Our birds love to hear their names. This gets their attention. If I talk to Tiko, I’ll say “awwww Tiko, he’s a good boy”. You might want to start with small words like “step up” “good boy” their name “pretty bird” and speak clearly. Ours like whistling too. You shouldn’t have any problems with teaching it though…. they usually pick up words they really like to hear!!! Quakers are chatterboxes, they mumble alot when they are learning and practicing!!
