: How do I get internet access in my dorm room?
I just got a new laptop, and Im having trouble getting access to the internet in certain places. I am able to access the internet from certain places on campus such as the library or classroom. However, I cannot get online whenever I am in my dorm room. I went to the ITS department at my college, but they did not know what was wrong. So can anyone that knows a lot about computers help me with this problem?

I had the same prob in a library conference room.

I told the sys op and he was kind enough to place a wireless router in the adjoining room and I got a fast stable connection.

I’d speak to someone @ IT who isnt dumb or playing dumb.

Them throwing up their hands is not acceptable.

Maybe other students near you are having the same prob and a group of you can goto IT.
