Ryan: How do I convince my mom that I am mature enough to travel alone?
I want to go to Europe over Spring Break next year, and will have to pay for all of it myself. My dad is ok with me traveling to some places alone, but my mom will not budge. Since my parents are divorced and I live with my mom, this is an issue. She wants me to, instead, find someone to go with me. But the problem with this is that everyone else wants to go to Cancun an whatnot.
I’ll be 17 when I want to go.

listen and obey ur parents they know what’s best for you
Sorry, but 17 is too young to travel alone. You need to be legally able to make decisions for yourself.Answer by Cathrine
I understand your mom because you are only going to be 17, and that is bit young to travel alone to Europe. I presume that you are from the US. I have had a lot of difficulties convincing my mom to let me go to Israel alone for a year and I’m 19, but I did it. Maybe you should make a plan or something that you can show your mom, and dads are always good to have. Talk to him, maybe he could talk to your mom or maybe you, your mom and your dad can sit down and talk about it. Trust me, I know how it is.
I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat but I wish you good luck.
Answer by Steveit depends who your friends are. If you’re just going there to have a wild time then you might not be mature enough yet. But if you have good friends who aren’t looking to take adcantage of a young person then you should go. Lots of 17 year old are independent enough to go on a trip like that, but many are not. Essentially, your mom isn’t convinced that you’ll make good decisions while you’re there.Answer by bga4ever10
Move in with your dad.
