It’s kind of puzzling to read that your dad won’t allow you to do something he’s let you do “billions of times” before. What’s different about this time? Are you going somewhere else to play, like outdoors in the woods rather than in a facility with paintball rooms? Are you planning to play with kids other than the ones you’ve played with before? Was someone hurt or did someone get into trouble while playing?
I seem to have more questions about this than I have answers. I know that paintball isn’t an inexpensive activity and maybe that’s what the problem is, though your father may not want to worry you about money issues.
I think continuing to discuss it with your dad is the most likely way to get to go again. I said “discuss” and not “argue” or “whine about”. Listen to what your father says and then address those particular points. Maybe you’ll be able to play at the place you’ve played before with the same kids. Maybe you could invite him to come along. He will be able to see that it isn’t dangerous–you do wear eye protection, right?
Hey–he might even decide he likes it and you’ll get to go more often than ever.
Good luck. I hope you get to go again soon.
