How difficult is the abstract algebra course?

MathGuy: How difficult is the abstract algebra course?
Is abstract algebra very difficult? I did very well in the 3 calculus classes and differential equations, however, I haven’t taken linear algebra yet and it won’t fit into my schedule. Would I be lost in abstract algebra without taking linear algebra first?

i dont think it would be that hard my daughter is in the 9th grade and loves doing both in her spare time

probably not, u’ve already taken the first 3 calculus courses. Abstract algebra is usually taken concurrently with the 3rd calc course, so you should be fine
