Stacey W: How can i start a dance team?
I go to an awesome school, and i’m really into dance. My school has no dance team, but my headmaster says that he doesn’t want to get one because he doesn’t want us to have cliques and stuff. I feel like this isn’t fair because they have teams for all sorts of sports except dance and everyone should have a chance to join a club that they like at school. Do you have any ideas about how i cant change my headmaster’s mind and about where i can find people that will want to help?

man i live all the way in new york but, i really want to make a dance crew too.
tht is just my problem… we hv tons of sports @ my high school, but not dance…we r required 2 take a sport n nxt yr ill b dancing 5 days a week w/o time 2 take another sport 🙁Answer by Ballet Girl
i would talk to him again. show him that getting people involved encourages them to become a better student. most schools only let people join and stay n a sports team with a certain grade. It also helps people make new friends and will help cliques NOT form. also try to find a coach in advance. Research your teachers to find out if any of them have a dancing background. this way he won’t have to pay a coach. also try to get some people together that fell the same way! raise money for a budget. Also, if you go to a private school, tell him sports and clubs will give the school a better reputation!
