Bethany: How can I set up a desktop computer to a wireless network?
I have a laptop now hooked to our home wireless network(with the router and all that stuff),but I was thinking of getting a desktop computer however all of the working phone jacks are occupied. Is there anyway to use a wireless card of some sort to connect a desktop to our router that is in another room?
If you need more information feel free to ask!
Thanks So Much!

happy wireless browsing.. 🙂
Answer by Melanie WSince desktops are typically not made to be mobile, you will likely need to buy a wireless adapter. Google wireless adapters or go to Best Buy and ask somebody to advise you on the best one for you.
Good luck!

Yes it is possible. You can buy a PCI adapter which saves you desk space because the card is inside the computer. A USB adapter lets install a wireless card outside the computer.
The problem I have with wireless is people do not know how to set it up securely. This is why I am a big advocate on powerline.
