Jason: How can I get my friends to stop calling my girlfriend or fiancee a mail order bride?
They call her that because I was unable to find a girl on my own so my mother asked my aunt in vietnam to introduced me to a girl in vietnam. She is not a mail order bride. We’re engaged kind of because I’m planning to marry her after college. Not only it hurts her but it hurts me too. My fiancee’s friends who went overseas from vietnam for college called my fiancee and told her that my friends are calling her that. How can I get them to stop ??

Good friends would not do that to you or her. Ask them to stop and if they won’t then make new ones.

“mail order bride” is not a derogatory word anyways.

In america…… mailorder bride marriages between white males and asian females are more successful than white white marriages.

There is nothing derogatory about that kind of success.

Anyways….. white males with asian girlfriends are always hearing stuff like “she’s a mailorder bride” or “she’s weak and submissive” or something like that. But do you see us crying about it?
