eloc1114: How do you change the fortune in fortune cookies?
I want to have custom fortunes in fortune cookies at my daughter’s birthday. I have waited too late to order the custom ones and it looks like making the cookies from scratch is hard. I think I remember seeing somewhere that you can steam a fortune cookie, remove and replace the fortune and it will re-harden. Anyone know how?
I DON’T HAVR TIME TO ORDER CUSTOM COOKIES. I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO STEAM OPEN COOKIES TO CHANGE OUT THE FORTUNES.

you have to damp a cloth and wrap it around the fortune cookie and microwave it for 30 sec. it will soften so u can remove the old fortune and put in your own… and let it sit out and it will harden again
If you try to soften the cookie to remove the fortune, you may ruin the texture taste, imho. Here is one of the easier recipies I’ve seen. They look festive too. Happy B-Day in advance, 🙂
