How am I going to finish all my homework on time and still study for exams and quizzes?

I’m in 10th grade and i’m overloaded with homework every night. I sleep till 2 in the morning just to finish this endless crap. The teachers give me homework like i’m their only student and they assign tests nearly every week. How do i finish my huge amount of homework and still have enough time to study for exams? It’s not because of procrastination because i start very soon after i get home. Teachers who give excessive homework and exams the next day should be fired.

I was in the exact same place last year when I was in 10th grade. It sucked! Except I ended up procrastinating a lot, and fell even more behind, and would end up putting everything off until the morning…which would have to be 3 AM in some cases if I had a lot to do. You need to evaluate the time that is given to you. Teachers can sometime overload students, and in many cases not realize it. Don’t be afraid to talk to a teacher who’s class your having an issue with. Also, at some point, the students can overload themselves. How many Honor’s/AP classes are you taking? How many clubs are you actively participating in after school? I nearly failed two classes last year (coming from student who received mostly A’s his entire life), but my teachers helped me handle what I had gotten behind on and I ended up getting all A’s and B’s last year. I wish I could have done more by trying to do less…if that makes sense? Know your boundaries, and don’t be afraid to challenge yourself, but realize that you can’t do everything. Choose what’s most important to you, and do a kick as* job at it.
