i think “making love” is the nice and good way of saying it when there is a lot of emotions involved. Having sex is more blatant and is usually between people who dont have long term relations.

The first is usually just for (men mainly) to satisfy a sexual urge and usually is just purely physical with no emotional attachment. The later is more than just physical and is for two people who really care about each other.

Ok there are many answers to this question, Women usually call it making love rather than having sex because it seems like better romantic terminology, men usually call it having sex because thats how men refer to it. Having Sex can also mean other things beside the normal way of doing it. Having sex can mean going down on someone and boob sex, etc.

Having sex describes the act of intercourse, plain and simple. Lovemaking is also having sex, but not ALL sex is lovemaking. Making love is what two people do who really love each other, it is tender and passionate, always consensual. When people make love it is because they really care about one another and both people are really into it and want to please the other. Think of it as the very best of sex, the most intimate; and LOVE is a requisite for lovemaking. (Being married is nice, but not always the case).

having sex is kind of like a one night stand. having sex is where theres more lust involved that love, youre just obeying animal instincts, things like that. having sex can be really good, but its not the same as making love. making love is two people who are in love, sharing a connection. theres more passion, its less about lust and more about sharing each other. does any of that make sense?

Having sex is satisfying a want/need. Making love is getting to each other in all aspects. It’s the coming together of 2 people who care about each other. Taking time to learn what each other likes and dislikes are. What they enjoy and don’t enjoy. Making love is wanting to explore each other through and through.
