Drinking is not half as bad as the Aussies and the Germans. Gambling is bad, even at small stakes, because sometimes there isn’t even money left for food.
And there are a lot of Filipinos who do not drink, or Filipinos who drink responsibly.

Filipinos aren’t so risky unlike the youngsters here in America. Trust me, I hear freshmen here in the US talking about alcohol and cigarrettes including sex almost everyday from different people.
I’ve grew up there and they don’t drink until 25, at least..most of them. I agree with Marika. Filipinos have a culture, which is quite conservative…like any other Asian country.
It’s aproblem to everyone in the world. But there are countries where drinking is illegal. I look up to those countries.

DEPENDS actually on the person involve. If the person is persistent on drinking and gambling at the same time without much cue from friends or family then it is awesome problem not only to the family but to the person itself.
SO YOU NOTICE that, good that Filipinos love to drink. Americans also love to drink didn’t you notice in some American movies how they gulp up one cup of whiskey after another? Americans also love gambling, that is why Las Vegas is very popular in the US is it not? Filipinos do not monopolies gambling and drinking mechanism in men.
IT IS PROBLEMATIC, but if you carefully use a magnifying glass this is just a small part of the problem Filipinos have in their daily lives.
1. On drinking—-Filipinos love to drink that is quite true, to release them from their daily doze of problems perhaps or just to end the night away.
2. On gambling—–Filipinos love to gamble that is also quite true. A habit brought by the Americans at the turn of the century perhaps. Filipinos go gaga over American lifestyle didn’t you notice. Most Filipinos love to sing American songs/American artist/American latest craze..etc…you open up a Filipino celebrity show on tv, the Filipino artist there will sing a famous American song from the beginning of the show. In both category, Filipinos are just imitating what they see on television or movies. And since most of the films shown on the Philippines are straight from Hollywood what else do you think would happen?
Are you referring to the low-class Filipinos?
I guess it is a problem to Filipinos.
Also, I don`t actually agree to your statement since most Filipinos drink with a limit.
While gambling is not that common here. Only some upper-class people usually do this!
