: How can I get the right documents to travel and work around europe for a year?
At the end of next year I am hoping to travel with friends around Europe for a year (working whilst away) I am having a problem. I currently live in Guernsey, Channal Islands and have only local relatives. I can’t travel and work in Europe because my passport apparantly will not let me; and I cannot get a british passport without living there for 5 years. Is there any way that I can travel and work around Europe for the Year?

I’m afraid you neither can travel nor work around Europe for a year. The Channel Islands are not part of the European Union; Channel Islanders do not have the right to freely travel, reside, and work in all European Union countries. You only can visit the countries on the continent signatory to the Schengen agreement as tourist without working for a period of up to three months within a six months period..

Yes, try volunteering through some organization. But that won’t bring you money.
