ever hear of satellites?
There are miles of fiber optic cables running across the ocean floor, but it could be a combination of anything else including regular phone lines or satellites, at any given moment.Answer by Desert Dust
The vast majority of international phone calls use transoceanic undersea cables. Older cables were copper wire and the newest using fiber-optic cable.
