Sam White: Does fast computing speed of the computer/CPU have something to do with the moving speed of the electricity?
If the speed of electricity were only 10m/s, would the computing speed of CPU be greatly reduced? I think the extraordinary fast computing speed of computer/CPU is MAINLY attributed to the fact that human beings can manipulate the electricity, of which the moving speed is almost the fastest in the universe. Is that right? Thank you.

Well, when designing electric circuits you must keep in mind the speed of electricity but also the speed of transistors and other components in CPU. But yes – If electricity were be slower, then cpus build for this speed would be slower.
