Whippersnapper101: Does doing gymnastics change your inherent body?
I’ve heard that if you do gymnastics or ballet during childhood and adolescence, the time when your muscles and bones are changing, it inherently changes your body, and it tends to stay that way throughout your adulthood. I was wondering if that still applies for teenagers and young adults (does doing gymnastics during those years change your body in a lasting way?)
Thanks much.

well, if you do gymnastics, all the jumping and bouncing contracts your spine making you shorter. it also stops your breasts from growing large.
also with ballet, it makes your breasts smaller.
this isn’t permenant, your breats may grow if you stop gymnastics and ballet, unless you stop at an age were you are done growing and developing.
and as for being shorter from your spine contracting, if you take yoga, your spine with stretch out, and you’ll grow taller. so neither of these is permenat.
