Many times in recipes, you’ll see the term “defatted”. Here’s how to do it!

Things You’ll Need:

* Canned broth
* Can opener
* Freezer
* Spoon

Step1
Open the can of broth from which you want to remove the fat.
Step2
Place the open can into the freezer.
Step3
Leave it in the freezer for about five to ten minutes.
Step4
The fat will congeal on the top. Remove it with a spoon, and voila, you have defatted broth!

you just take all the fat and eat it raw

It’s just like doing clarified butter. The fat floats to the top after it is heated and cooled. It is very simple.

all you needs is to put in it in the fridge. When cold the solid fats will form at the top. Open the can and remove them.

You can also buy broth with little or no fat.
