: What can i do with a Criminal Justice degree in the military?
I’ve always wanted to go to the military, but i want to go to college first. Then after I graduate college with a bachelor degree in criminal justice, i’m planning to go in to the U.S Army, but what can i do in the army with this degree?

I also have plans to work in the law enforcement field in the future.

I’m a very greedy person, so i want to experience everything =]

you can use that bachelor’s to get you into the army as an officer.

Get a degree in ANYTHING but Criminal Justice. Criminal Justice..along with Political Science and Physical Education are sham degrees and everyone knows it.

The market in inundated with CJ graduates. Most police departments will take a candidate with a degree in something other than CJ over one with a CJ degree. The academy teaches you everything you need to know. A degree in something else brings something to the table.

I have a AAS in CJ, a BS in HazMat Mgmt, a MS in Enviro Mgmt and a MA in Strategic Management.

I got the AAS in CJ as a young enlisted guy because it was the easiest possible thing I could get.

Bottom line…a degree in anything other than CJ will be a better option than a CJ degree

If I have a young LT walk in with a Bachelors in CJ..I immediately see a guy/gal who wants to skate through with the least amount of work…and rarely is this observation wrong…just so you know

Anything you want.

Get a commission, become an officer. You degree usually has nothing to do with your job in the Army. And stop listening to what everyone says about this field. A C.J. degree is still better than no degree (for ya’ll haters out there…)

Don’t f*cking listen to redleg. Go to school for WHAT YOU WANT, don’t go into a field that you’re not interested just for the money because you’re not going to enjoy it. Go to school and get your criminal justice degree and then join the military and become a JAG officer. Don’t never let nobody influence your career plan and what you plan to do with your education
