: Why are the so called “credit card” scam still exist?
With the invention of the internet I see no reason why a civilization needs such a fraud. Bankers need to find a real job if they can’t make money without scamming people off.

Who says it’s the bankers? I know people who have done it in the past. They get card numbers from the Internet, stealing peoples wallets, even generating numbers from people who live out of the country. Ever notice how after entering the first 4-8 numbers a website will automatically know if your card is a Visa, MC, etc? Each 4 digits means something. The issuing institution, the type of card, the card holder, etc.
simply because there are still people who fall victims. when you get suspicious calls, do a little research. look up the phone number and see if it’s connected to a scam. if it is, report. if not, report. there’s this site
https://www.callercenter.com/
that’s free to use. withe the number of people that visits the site, you can do a lot by warning other people from taking such calls. when will these people ever learn?
