The actual name is “clitoral prepuce” or “preputium clitoridis”. As for your other question, if a woman ovulates and an egg is not fertilized, the egg is discarded along with the uterine lining that built up all month in what you know as your monthly period.
I believe it’s called the Prepuce.
Well if the egg is not fertilized, then it travels to the lining of the uterus, and then it is shed..and menstruation begins. Before an unfertilized egg is shed, the uterus builds up the blood it would need for a baby, if it’s not used, then it is released or shed and that is why we bleed.
