daisuke: How to change wheels/rims (and tires)?
I am sick of the stock wheels/rims that came standard with my car when I bought it new. Actually, the particular wheels/rims in question were part of an OEM option package that was equipped on the car, so I had no choice but to take it included. The option package had all the features I wanted/needed, just not the ugly wheels.
What I want to do is actually exchange all four “premium” wheels from the option package for another set of four wheels (regular OEM) that would have come standard as OEM on this particular car model if it didn’t have the option package. I am essentially “downgrading” my wheels because as it turns out, I prefer the “vanilla” appearance of the “regular” wheels than the gaudy, borderline-ghetto and supposedly “premium” wheels that are cursing my car right now. I cannot wait to get rid of them!
The dilemma is, who/where should I go to for buying these new wheels. At the same time, who/where should I go to sell the old, ugly ones. It would be convenient to have the same person/place to buy the new ones from, and sell the old ones to, simultaneously (exchange). I want to sell the old ones on my car right now because they are OEM, still in good/clean condition, and have never had any problems or anything go wrong with them. Realistically, they are also probably worth more than the ones I will be replacing them with (premium vs. regular), so I can buy the new wheels with the money made from selling the old ones.
Obviously, I would have to also replace the tires because the new wheels will be a different size (smaller, actually) than the old ones that they will replace, which were larger. Again, it would be convenient (more like mandatory if I plan to drive it off the lot) that the same person/place performing the wheel “exchange” would also fit the new tires with the correct size for the new wheels…they can keep the old tires for all I care.
This particular car also has a “direct” (whatever that means) Tire-pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Will that be something to worry about?
PLease no stupid answers like “tl; dr” (too long; didn’t read)…i don’t have the patience for stupid people like that at all. thank you

What I suggest is consulting your vehicle manufacturer about which TPMS you have (Direct Or In-Direct) before you think about changing rims and tires your vehicle brand is primary to think about what will look good on it in the first place and for getting rid of your old ones I suggest craigs list and Ebay other than that I can’t think of anything besides selling them locally to people who need tires, Also there is Direct and In-Direct TPMS System’s the Direct system has pressure systems on the inside or outside of the tire to monitor pressure that will help fuel economy and safety and the life of the tires, In-direct systems however employ wheel rotation speeds to monitor the tires pressure and so on and so forth, I would consult your manufacturer and figure out which one you have before you go any steps further onto what you are going to change
Your best bet is to take it to local tire shop. They can suggest what wheel will work on your car and may buy your wheels off you (you are better off selling it on craigslist). They may even be able to remove the TPSM and install onto your new wheel too.
