: What are my chances of conception if I had intercourse 4days before ovulation and on ovulation day?
I am TTC and I had intercourse on Sunday 4 days before ovulation and I had intercourse again on Thursday the day of ovulation. Are my chances still high?? Or could I have missed it?

4 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation, are both times where you have a chance of pregnancy. Your chances of pregnancy 4 days before ovulation are not as good as the day before or the day of but it is still possible sperm can live in a woman for up to 7 usually no more then 4-5 days but it can live up to 7 days if the environment is right. As for the day of ovulation that is one of the best days. From what i was told the best time to try to get pregnant is the day before ovulation and the day of, to be honest everyone has their different opinions of the best day, some say the day before and some say the day of. For me I think the day of ovulation is the best because the sperm goes in and the egg is already there, which means the sperm is not waiting around and dying off, but of course the day before is great too. Anyway anywhere from 5 days before ovulation to the day after ovulation is considered fertile. The egg can live up to 24 hours after ovulation. Good luck.
