Ella: Can anyone tell me how the Easter Bunny is connected to Easter from a religious standpoint?
The religious aspect I understand but in todays society the Bunny is a big symbol even more so than Jesus himself, so my questions is… How did the Easter Bunny become associated?

Well if you can believe that Jesus was a magic guy who healed people and made food, surely you can believe he was also a big bunny.
But some people say that the rabbit is tied to pagan rituals about fertility. Eggs however are to symbolize the tomb that Jesus was buried in, then three days later, “new” life emerged, just as a chick would emerge from the egg?
Answer by EuropeI just read a very similar question that got given a fantastic explanation on the meanings of the bunny, I’d copy and paste the answer but then I’d feel like a big fraud. Here’s the link:

Answer by CypKittyI am not sure. It is just a gimmick to get people to spend moneyAnswer by Travis H
Rabbits were associated with the Spring Festival long before Christians came about.
Rabbits were a symbol of life and renewal. (After all, they multiply like, well, rabbits.) Thus, they were the perfect symbol of spring.
Christians used this association with renewal to help explain the resurrection of Jesus, and us all.
Answer by Amanda D.from my christian relationship view. its not at all related. the easter bunny is just like santa claus… a distraction from the real meaning of the holiday.
people can say what they want but us christians celebrate easter at the time we do because that is the around the time jesus died and rose.
Answer by new gardenerThe Easter bunny was there at dawn when Jesus was resurrected. Jesus saw the easter bunnies shadow and decreed six more weeks of winter. That’s why we hope for a cloudy start to Easter morning.
