skbuoy: Can a highschool student take a full physics class at a community college?
I am currently taking AP Physics B and that class is purely pathetic. The teacher doesn’t teach at all, just goes over the homework and shows us the simple equations being derived. He simply sucks. Now, the field i want to go to requires physics. I wanted to take AP physics C, but guess what the same lousy teacher teaches that class aswell. I was wondering if i can take physics C (physics with calculus) at a local community college as a senior in highschool.

Ok.. just because its a college course, doesnt mean it’ll teach you anything; actually it’ll just be harder grade wise. and yes you could take it. but i’m sure there are requirements to take the class. Go talk to your school counselor. it’ll be more helpful than getting advice from online people for this stuff
It depends on the policies of the college and your school. We can’t answer this question for you. If the college allows high school students to take classes at the appropriate level, and your school allows students to take classes at the college as part of their schedule, then go for it. But, we can’t possibly know what their policies are. You need to talk to one of the counselors at your school about what you want to do, and see whether it’s possible.
