: How to act like a bride to see what it is like?
I have a wedding dress. My older sister is letting my borrow her new wedding dress. Is there anything else I could practice at home so I can see what being a bride is really like? I want to get the full feeling of being a bride. Also how does it feel to put on a wedding dress for the first time? Does it feel like it does when you put on any other dress for the first time? Or does if feel different since it’s a wedding dress?

There’s nothing magical about any clothing.
The meaning behind it is tied to your emotions. If you’re just wearing it for the hell of it, then all you’ll feel is the fabric. If you’re wearing it to impress somebody, you’ll judge how good you feel in it. If you’re wearing it for an occasion that’s within your sights, you will feel emotions associated to that occasion.
For example, a wedding’s supposed to be an important, unifying day for you. Wearing that dress knowing your soon-to-be husband is going to be impressed, and knowing that this will be the formal dress that is presented at the time of being tied together, will bring out emotions of some sort.

Answer by my_2_centsPutting on a dress doesn’t make you a bride. There’s so much more to it. You can go through the motions, but it’s going to be nothing like when you’re getting ready for the actual moment.Answer by Becky
My dress doesn’t make me feel like a bride. It feels like any other formal dress that I have worn–except in white.
I am guessing that walking down the aisle to my fiance will make me feel like a bride. It’s a once in a lifetime feeling…I guess you can’t “practice” or “re-create” the feeling.
