Street Car: Does a fiancee visa exist in the States if you want to marry someone?
Let’s say you want to marry someone who is from another country. Can you get that person there on a fiancee visa and later marry? And if yes, how long is the fiancee visa valid for?
I heard that in Europe people can get their spouses there on a fiancee visa, but never actually have to marry them. They can just stay there on that visa and get citizenship after 5 years. Is that also how it works in the States?

Yes, after it’s issued the person must travel to the USA within 6 months, and after arrival, must get married within 90 days.
If you don’t get married within the 90 days the fiance/fiancee must leave the USA. If you don’t get married, to the person who filed the visa, there is NOTHING further that you can do in the United States to become legal, nothing.
Answer by Mendi8ayes it does, and u have to marry within 30 days i believe. The thing is the person has to be a legal immigrant or be in their country still… otherwise a fiance visa means they have to go to their country and wait it out.Answer by David
