Alleykat: How exactly do you give yourself a home breast exam?
I am 21 almost 22 and I never knew how to do a full breast exam. I don’t even know how my breasts should feel. They are sore and hurt when I breathe in, I was just wondering how you give yourself a full breast exam and how your breasts are suppose to feel? Especially when you never gave yourself one, and you are 21? Please help, and thank you.

Another reason for doing the breast exam is so you get to know how your breasts normally feel, that way you can tell when something is different. It is important to do the exam the same time every month, preferably a few days after your period, or if you are on birth control pills you should do it the day you start your new pack of pills. The reason for doing the exam at these times is because your breasts aren’t tender or swollen due to ovulation or menstruation.
