How about tickets to a game?
If you don’t live near a Major League park, you could get minor league game tickets. They’re cheaper and the quality of play is very good.
Take him to a game and get him really good seats!Answer by lizette811
Take him to a game! Some teams have some really cool events during the summer. Like the Oakland A’s have root beer float day. Something like that will keep him occupied during the boring stretches of the game. Also, find out when your hometown team is giving away gifts (like bats to the first 10,000 fans), and go on one of those days!Answer by loranray
Take him to a Major League game or a AA, AAA minor league game. If their are no teams close go with him and get a real professional glove. The glove will last many years.Answer by baseballfan448

YOU SHOULD GET HIM A BASEBALL BAT AND A BASEBALL HE WOULD LOVE THAT BUT A KID BASEBALL BAT AND BASEBALL NOT THE REAL ONES COULD IT COULD BE DANGEROUS TO A SIX YEAR OLD HE MIGHT HURT HISELF.Answer by wdx2bb
Every kid who is a baseball fan should pick up a “Junior Leaguer jacket.” They’ve been selling those for decades — I had one 40-plus years ago.
Past that, obviously a baseball works well. He might enjoy some whiffle ball equipment at that age.
If he has a favorite team, there is the usual stuff to get — yearbook, t-shirt, etc. Same with a favorite player.

Spend some quality time with him and take him to a game! I just took my 7 year old little girl to a Pawucket Red Sox (minor league team of the Boston Red Sox) and it was great. Minor league games are less expensive, if cost is a factor, and its more money you can spend on hot dogs, peanuts, cotton candy and other fun stuff.
Major league games are great too (Boston Red Sox parking is about $ 20 or $ 25) if cost is not an issue too. But the best thing to do is just go with only you and your son. I bet it will be one of his best memories that he can recall as he gets older! Even if you dont like baseball yourself, the memory of the event will last forever.
P.S.
I saw some of the other peoples answers recommending a baseball bat. Wrong answer! Somebody or something could get hurt or damaged. I’m 45 now and my fathers next-door-neighbors garage window that I broke when I was about 8 or 9, is still broken today!
Answer by lsutigerfan123A pack of his favorite baseball teams baseball cards. (or just any pack of baseball cards)
His favorite teams hat. (they should be cheaper since he’s 6.)
Any kind of baseball t-shirt.
Maybe one of his favorite players uniforms. (just shirt, could be expensive though)
Maybe tickets for him and his friend to a pro baseball game. (could be expensive varying upon where you sit in the stadium.)
One of those collectible mini baseball bats with favorite teams logo on it.
Some collectible mini baseball helmets. (I don’t know if they still have them, I got them when I was younger, i’m 14)
