your going to be hella sore for the first couple of weeks. Also for turn out alot of things that help is like prima ballerina turn out press your feet flat up against the wall so that they are completely parralel and also lay on the floor and do like a froggy style position while laying on your back pushing your feet paralel agianst the floor
it’s definitely gonna be a new experience. the main thing about ballet is probably balance. oh, and be sure to stretch A LOT. & i mean A LOT. have fun!Answer by saleisha
There are just way too many exercises to list here – you’ll get them in class. I would suggest doing whatever stretches they give you in class to do at home consistently. This will help so much with your flexibility. Also, start doing crunches or something similar – having strong abs/core is mandatory in balancing and turning. Without strong abs, you can’t balance and turning is nearly impossible. Have fun with ballet! It really is so great – it gives you discipline and is beautiful to watch. Don’t give up and good luck!!!Answer by Jonathan G
I would get a pair of leg warmers they arent expensive at all around $ 20 but they will keep your legs warm while your dancing so you dont injure your legs. your going to need to stretch at least twice a day. while your in class dont overwork yourself too much because you will get hurt and if something doesnt feel right while your in class make sure you tell the teacher because they will be able to tell you exactly what you need to do. A theraband will help with the arch of your foot so you have a better foot. For your turn I would stretch in frog position for a couple minutes 2 or 3 times day.
Have fun I hope you like it
Answer by got dance? To prepare for your ballet classes, do plee-ays and rela-vays in each position. You should also start working on your splits. Work on them every day so that by the time that you start, you will somewhat have them. Flexibility is very important in ballet. You should also do jumps in each position. Work on pointing your feet with them turned out so that your arch will improve. I would recommend buying a book about ballet to help you. Good luck and hope this helps!!Answer by iDancexJB
stretchhhh! & tlak to people who have gone to your studio for ballet, a lot of dance studios have different requirements and do different things. but stretch, and remember balance and stay focused.
