Pirateshaveparrots: When asked at an interview “What is your greatest weakness”, should I say this?
interviewer: “So, what is your greatest weakness then?”
Me: “Job interviews”
I do have a backup of an actual weakness that I can turn around to make a positive, just in case. Though to sort of bring personality to myself, do you think that the joke would fly?

Umm, yeah, that sounds pretty good.
When you answer, stagger a bit so he wonders what you are thinking of, then look down, peek your eyes up and say “Job Interviews”
Hopefully they will have a sense of humor and laugh about it. If not, and it gets uncomfortable, say “and there is . . ” and make it more comfortable.
Answer by KristiI think it’s funny but your employer might not think it. If the person hiring you looks “welcoming” go ahead. But if it looks like they need to get laid, I suggest to actually answer it srsly.Answer by Jimmy
no i wouldn’t say that. Joking in interviews doesn’t really go down well, especially when you say your greatest weakness is actually a job interview!Answer by Xavier M
sounds like an “honesty” checking question
one of those….lets see if he’ll lie….kind of things.
my answer would be…
my greatest weakness as far as a workplace is concerned is I often get bord when things become repetitive so with luck I’ll earn enough trust here to have a few new things thrown my way from time to time.

I usually answer with something along the lines of:
“I don’t like it when upper management is indecisive.”
Even though it doesn’t directly answer the question, most people will agree with this statement.
If you say something like “job interviews”, it may be problematic if the job you are applying for requires public speaking or presentations.
I would try to be witty with a different question. For example: What is your dream job?
I was asked this during an interview and though this had nothing to do with the job I was applying for – I answered with “I’d like to be the girl on the travel channel – she gets paid to go on vacation year round!”
If you really want to impress the interviewer, write down a list of questions to ask your interviewer(s). Always research the company first! You should know their basic history before the interview starts.

well you could try out this..:-
you could say:
” I would not know what kind of weaknesses I have coz if I knew so I would not done kept on being with those weaknesses …people who know me will know what kind of weaknesses I have “Answer by ♥ChocolateKisses♥
They ask this question all the time and i’ve gotten every job i’ve ever interviewed for with this response. “I am a perfectionist. This is your weakness. I like for things to be in perfect order and when it’s not I try to find ways to make it as close to perfect as I can” , may not be 100% true, but it got me the job every single time. I swear.
Edit* Never tell your true weaknesses. NEVER EVER joke at a job interview. You don’t want to say what Xavier said, you will not get that job.
